Positive : Location in central Barcelonnette was excellent. Having a large garage available was really handy, as long as thoughtless locals didn't block the doors (happened twice). MIchel was very helpful, but we had to communicate through Google Translate (not his fault!), which was painful. Negative : The host lived 200km away, which made it hard to arrange our early morning departure, and also hard to get the leaking wastepipe fixed. Adverts for the apartment don't make it clear that the apartment is up 4 flights of stairs - OK for us, but not might suit everyone.

Positive: The apartment is located right in the old town center. The street is closed to through traffic, so you can sleep relatively undisturbed. In the garage, we could park our 2 cars and securely store our racing bikes. Negative: Unfortunately, the landlord did not respond to every email. Therefore, we were unsure if he realized our arrival time. Upon arrival, no one was present, and the landlord was not reachable by phone. Only with a lot of luck were we able to get our key.
