Lack of 'hospitality' feeling

4/5

| Georgia | 24 Jan 2025

Positive: It was quite comfortable for two families with children. We visited the accommodation at Christmas, and the hosts were unfortunately quite busy, so we only met to receive the keys, but they were always polite on the phone and eager to give us directions on how to get there. Negative: The kitchen and its utensils needed more thorough cleaning. Given that it was Christmas, we would have expected a more 'cozy' atmosphere, with at least some decorations. Even the few candles in various holders (not Christmas-themed) were already burnt out. Additionally, a welcome gift would have been necessary. The cost of the stay was quite high, and the lack of a welcome (perhaps some local product, a bottle of wine, chocolates for the kids) did not contribute to the feeling of 'hospitality'.

If it were not for some issues with the heating, this would have been (almost) perfect. I would have appreciated a "warning" that I would have to bring coffee with me. The one in the house was "ancient". Having said that the house is just gorgeous and very quite. The view over the city of Volos and the bay is breath-taking.
