Martinique unrolls its pale sandy beaches in the south, its rainforests in the north and the silhouette of Mount Pelée looming over Saint-Pierre. Between colourful markets, rum distilleries and hikes, the island has enough to fill each day. Our apartments, studios, houses and villas let you set down your bags at your own pace.

Exploring the island from north to south

In the south, head for Les Salines in Sainte-Anne, one of the island's most beautiful beaches, or set sail from Le Marin, the sailing capital, to reach the fonds blancs of Le François. Walking enthusiasts climb Mount Pelée from Le Morne-Rouge and follow the Trace des Jésuites through the rainforest.

In the north, Saint-Pierre tells the story of the 1902 eruption through its ruins and its museum. Don't miss the Depaz distillery and the Gorges de la Falaise. In Fort-de-France, the covered market, the Schœlcher Library and Fort Saint-Louis are worth a morning. Renting a whole place with a kitchen also lets you cook accras and fish from the market between excursions.

Where to set down your bags

Le Marin appeals to sailors and to families close to the southern beaches, with harbours, coves and seafront restaurants. Fort-de-France, lively and well connected, suits those who want shops, culture and city life.

La Trinité, on the Atlantic coast, opens onto the Caravelle peninsula and its trails facing the ocean, wilder and windier. Saint-Pierre, at the foot of Pelée, offers a quiet, historic setting, ideal for roaming towards the north. Depending on what you're after, our villas and apartments give you the space and independence for a stay with family or friends.

Frequently asked questions

How many rentals do you offer in Martinique?

We have 334 entire-home rentals on the island, spread mainly between 163 apartments, 62 houses, 56 studios. You’ll find properties in Le Marin, Fort-de-France, La Trinité, and Saint-Pierre. Some offer specific amenities: 300 are air-conditioned, 104 have a sea view, and 61 have a pool.

Are the properties well rated?

Yes, rated properties show an average rating of 4.6 out of 5, calculated from 238 properties rated by travelers. These reviews reflect real stays and help you compare before booking. Be sure to check the detailed comments on each listing to refine your choice.

Do you need to rent a car in Martinique?

Yes, a car is strongly recommended. Aimé Césaire Airport is located in Le Lamentin, near Fort-de-France, and serves most flights from mainland France. Public transport remains limited outside major towns. A vehicle lets you easily reach Les Salines in the south as well as Mount Pelée in the north.

What's the best time to visit?

The dry season, called carême, runs from December to April, with steady sunshine and calm seas. From June to November comes hivernage, wetter and subject to hurricane risk, especially from August to October. Rates are often lower outside French school holidays.

Which area should you choose for your trip?

Le Marin suits sailing enthusiasts and families close to the southern beaches. Fort-de-France appeals for city life, shops, and culture. La Trinité opens onto the wild Caravelle Peninsula. Saint-Pierre, at the foot of Mount Pelée, offers a historic and peaceful setting to explore the north.

Can you cook with local produce during your stay?

Yes, our entire-home rentals come with a fully equipped kitchen. You can shop at the large covered market in Fort-de-France or at seaside stalls for fresh fish, tropical fruit, and spices. Cooking accras and court-bouillon is a great way to experience the island between excursions.
