Accessibility

Homerez is committed to making its holiday rental booking website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in line with the accessibility requirements that apply to e-commerce services (Directive (EU) 2019/882 and French Law No. 2023-171 of 9 March 2023).

This information covers the Homerez booking website, from searching for a property to paying for the booking.

How the service meets the requirements

We design the booking website to meet the accessibility requirements of the European standard EN 301 549 (WCAG 2.1, level AA). An internal assessment of the booking journey, carried out in October 2026, identified issues, which have been corrected. Accessibility is checked whenever the website changes, including automated keyboard tests of the booking journey.

What we have put in place

  • The language of every page is declared, with a heading structure and main regions (header, content, footer).
  • A "Skip to content" link at the top of each page.
  • Search, carousel, language and payment option controls can be used with a keyboard and are announced by screen readers.
  • Labels associated with the fields of the search and booking forms.
  • Text and button colours revised to reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.
  • Alternative text on property photos.
  • A date picker that can be used with a keyboard (arrow keys, Enter, Escape), with the days, the selection and the number of nights announced in the language of the page.
  • A photo gallery that opens and can be browsed with a keyboard, as a dialog that keeps the focus and returns it when closed.
  • Map markers that can be reached with a keyboard and are announced with the property and its price; a text alternative for the location map.
