Saumur 2026 - Apartment

We spent a wonderful week in the charming town of Saumur, an ideal place for a calm and peaceful stay. The apartment is spacious, comfortably furnished and enjoys a central location, just a short walk from shops and excellent restaurants. Parking is easy and many of the Loire Valley's major attractions are easily accessible. We greatly enjoyed our stay and gladly recommended the apartment to our friends and family.

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. The location was fantastic with everything we needed on the doorstep. As mentioned in previous reviews, it does have quite a few stairs to climb to get to it, but the view is worth it. We stayed with my 7 year old and 2 year old but all slept on the same floor (sofa bed in the living room) so didn’t need the bedroom up the spiral staircase, so that was fine. Our host was lovely and responsive and the apartment was clean and tidy. I loved the decor, it was interesting and added character to it. I would definitely return. Thank you for having us ☺️

Pleasant stay in the apartment, tastefully furnished by the owner. Small inconvenience on arrival during a heatwave as the fridge had been defrosted, not switched back on and was not working. The owner, who contacted us immediately, looked for temporary solutions and the problem was resolved in the evening, but we were hot! The café terraces are very lively and very noisy at the foot of the building and you don't really want to open the kitchen windows which overlook a small courtyard full of pigeon droppings. The bathroom is probably undergoing refurbishment and is not on the same level as the rest of the apartment. Be aware you have to climb 70 steps to reach the apartment and the spiral staircase to the attic bedroom requires agility. Otherwise I recommend it, especially for the living room which is bright, spacious, beautiful and comfortable.
