A successful stay despite imperfect cleaning

We had a pleasant stay in this apartment. Its main asset is its excellent location: Siagne, the Château de la Napoule, and the shopping center are within walking distance, the residence is quiet, and the pool is very enjoyable. The balcony facing north allows you to enjoy the outdoors even when it's hot. The listing was accurate regarding the absence of air conditioning; a fan is provided. The owner is very kind and welcoming. However, the cleaning could have been more thorough. Upon our arrival, we noticed splashes in the toilet, dust and hair in some cupboards, food leftovers in the microwave, and dust behind the sofa. We had to do a bit of cleaning before settling in. The curtains were also difficult to use because the old rods no longer worked. This apartment is a bit old, even though the kitchen and bathroom seem to have been renovated. The bedroom is covered with carpet that needs a deep clean. A refresh and more thorough cleaning would make the accommodation even more pleasant.
