Maison del "Imaginario" incroyable, vue imprenable sur le Douro qui laisse admirateur, on dirait meme que c'est un décor posé quand on est sur la terrasse, on ne s'en lasse pas. De la piscine c'est exactement la même chose, la vue y est magnifique. La maison est extrêmement bien pensée et équipée, rien n'est laissé au hasard. Le maitre des lieux est de façon générale très discret, mais aussi très serviable au besoin, quelqu'un de vraiment charmant. 
Pas besoin de longer le Douro, le meilleur endroit et la meilleure vue se trouve incontestablement au virage de "l'imaginario", la villa fait le reste avec son emplacement (exposé du matin au soir au soleil) ainsi que toutes ses commodités.

The "Imaginario" house is incredible, with a breathtaking view over the Douro that leaves you in awe; it almost looks like a backdrop when you're on the terrace, you can't get enough of it. The view from the pool is just as stunning. The house is extremely well thought out and equipped, nothing is left to chance. The host is generally very discreet but also very helpful when needed, really a charming person.
No need to follow the Douro, the best spot and the best view is undoubtedly at the bend of "Imaginario"; the villa does the rest with its location (sun from morning till night) and all its amenities.

 Fantastic views, guaranteed tranquility, great pool, and Constantino and his wife were very kind. Although they live upstairs, you don't notice them, and they have a wine made by them for sale that is very tasty. They left us a fruit bowl full of fruit from their garden that was delicious, so we were very happy to come back.

The pictures don’t do this place Justice. The views are incredible. Tinos is very nice and everything you need is available to you. There is even a little cafe right outside the house if you need anything. The pool is amazing.

Surreal view and gracious host. Picked fresh grapes next to the driveway.  Lovely walks in the vineyard. Expansive veranda with a perfect view (the pictures don’t do it justice).  Relaxing and private.  
Easy access to groceries/restaurants in nearby villages by car.

A beautiful villa with a welcoming host and a fantastic view of the Douro River, situated on a hillside with a vineyard and fruit trees. We stayed while the wisteria and orange trees were in bloom and the scent was amazing. Definitely, we'd like to come back.

Without a doubt, the view is the most striking feature of this house. 
Other than that, it has everything you would expect from a country house: the tranquility of the countryside, very friendly people like Mr. Constantino and his wife, and of course, good wine.
Kitchen utensils more than sufficient, functioning appliances, and a great pool.

Nous sommes restés 4 nuits.  Le logement est grand et propre. La terrasse est grande avec une partie couverte en cas de pluie. La vue est magnifique sur le Douro.  Constantino est très accueillant.  Les seuls points un peu négatifs sont que la coutellerie et poêlon pourraient être renouvelés et l’évier était très long à vider.  Nous recommandons cet appartement et y retournerions certainement.

We stayed for 4 nights. The accommodation is large and clean. The terrace is big with a covered section in case of rain. The view is stunning over the Douro. Constantino is very welcoming. The only slightly negative points are that the cutlery and frying pan could be renewed, and the sink took a long time to empty. We recommend this apartment and would definitely return.

A vista da generosa varanda é incrível. A varanda tem sombra e uma mesa que pode ser usada para refeições ou para ler um livro. A piscina é agradável e tem boa privacidade. O sr. Constantino é prestável, disponível e generoso.

The view from the generous balcony is amazing. The balcony provides shade and a table that can be used for meals or reading a book. The pool is pleasant and offers good privacy. Mr. Constantino is helpful, available, and generous.

This home is located in a wonderful setting. It is a small vineyard, overlooking the Douro River. The lights at night are beautiful as are all the stars. Extremely quiet. The interior is a bit dark and outdated. We were met by Mr. Constantino who was warm, welcoming, and so very helpful. He ordered dinner for us and went to pick it up as we didn’t know where we were going. There is a small town nearby with limited restaurants but we HIGHLY recommend you dine at Tasca do Zéquinha.

View is wonderful, host helpful, place is spacious with 3 en-suites but overall the house is a little run down.

A casa está bem localizada, tem uma vista magnifica sobre o rio douro. A piscina tem boa exposição solar, conseguem aproveitar da mesma das 6h da manhã até às 19h . Mesão frio mesmo ao lado e o peso da régua também.

The house is well located and has a magnificent view over the Douro River. The pool has good sun exposure, allowing enjoyment from 6 AM to 7 PM. Mesão Frio right next door and Peso da Régua too.

Constantino's accommodation is a haven of peace with an incredible view of the Doudo. Constantino is wonderfully kind and will do everything to ensure your stay goes smoothly. The amenities in the house are basic but more than sufficient for a pleasant stay. The pool and terrace are the gems of the place. I highly recommend it.

an exceptional view and setting. The pool is superb and the view over the Douro is incredible. The house is among the owner's vineyards, a beautiful setting. Constantino is available and very kind. The interior decoration and furniture are aging, as are the mattresses. All of this could use a refresh. Nevertheless, it doesn't spoil the pleasure of the place, especially since the cleanliness is impeccable, as is the bed and bath linen. There is a Dolce Gusto coffee machine and the kitchen is very well equipped. Thank you for this wonderful stay.

Maison conforme à la description .Une magnifique vue calme et reposante. La piscine est nettoyée tous les matins . La clim a été très appréciée surtout la nuit pendant les fortes chaleur. L'intérieur est spacieux , les 3 chambres avec salle de bain c'est le top ! Il y a aussi de la doc touristique. Si je devais améliorer quelque chose ce seraient les bancs à l'extérieur et le manque de poêle ( trop petites pour 6 personnes) et l'emplacement du barbecue mais on ne peut pas le bouger. Tino habite à l'étage mais cela ne gêne absolument pas. C'est un hote agréable , serviable, discret (son épouse aussi) toujours présent en cas de problème et tellement gentil. Petits cadeaux de bienvenue appréciés ainsi que les prunes durant le séjour. Son porto est délicieux! Je recommande vivement cette location et j' y reviendrai avec plaisir. Merci beaucoup Tino , votre épouse et Cynthia.

The house is as described. A beautiful, calm, and relaxing view. The pool is cleaned every morning. The air conditioning was greatly appreciated, especially at night during the hot weather. The interior is spacious, the 3 bedrooms with bathrooms are the best! There is also tourist information available. If I had to improve something, it would be the benches outside and the lack of a frying pan (too small for 6 people) and the position of the barbecue, but we can't move it. Tino lives upstairs, but it doesn't bother at all. He is a pleasant, helpful, and discreet host (his wife too), always present in case of problems and so kind. Small welcome gifts were appreciated as well as the plums during the stay. His port is delicious! I highly recommend this rental and I will gladly return. Thank you very much Tino, your wife and Cynthia.

A nossa estadia foi excelente! O Sr. Constantino foi sempre muito prestável, presente e simpático, fazendo-nos sentir bem-vindos. Os cães também são amáveis e tornam o ambiente mais acolhedor. A casa tem, sem dúvida, uma das melhores vistas possíveis sobre o Douro — acordar e terminar o dia com aquela paisagem foi inesquecível. A localização é muito sossegada, perfeita para descansar, e ao mesmo tempo é muito fácil chegar à casa. A cozinha é muito completa e está muito bem equipada, com tudo o que é necessário para cozinhar e desfrutar das refeições em grupo com conforto. O espaço exterior é ótimo para jantares, convívios e celebrações, como foi o nosso caso. Tivemos momentos muito especiais e recomendamos vivamente este alojamento!

Our stay was excellent! Mr. Constantino was always very helpful, present, and friendly, making us feel welcome. The dogs are also lovely and create a more inviting atmosphere. The house undoubtedly has one of the best views over the Douro — waking up and ending the day with that scenery was unforgettable. The location is very quiet, perfect for relaxation, and at the same time, it's very easy to get to the house. The kitchen is very complete and well equipped with everything necessary for cooking and enjoying meals in comfort as a group. The outdoor space is great for dinners, social gatherings, and celebrations, as was our case. We had very special moments and highly recommend this accommodation!

Recomendo sem qualquer dúvida, grupos ou famílias é ideal. Espaço limpo e organizado, excelente comunicação com os anfitriões que nos deixam completamente à vontade e bem vindos. O grande destaque vai sem qualquer dúvida para a vista magnífica, dificil de bater no que toca ao D’ouro.

I recommend it without a doubt, ideal for groups or families. The space is clean and organized, excellent communication with the hosts who make us feel completely at ease and welcome. The main highlight is undoubtedly the magnificent view, hard to beat when it comes to the D’ouro.

Wow! What a beautiful property! We loved the beautiful scenery and sitting on the deck, overlooking the valley. There was a nearby grocery store so we made our meals at the property and enjoyed them on the deck with some wine made by the host! Definitely recommend for a beautiful stay!

As Constantino said when I asked him prior to getting to his house - Where can I take some great pictures? - He said, "My house". He was correct. The views where (and are) spectacular, breathtaking and amazing! Tino is a very nice person, easy to talk with and friendly! We would stay here again and again!

The apartment has everything you need for a great stay. The terrace has breathtaking views over the Douro Valley. We had a fantastic stay, and Constantino was very friendly and helpful, he also offered us fresh tomatoes and figs from his land, and they were delicious!! Some things to note however. These are not negatives, but merely informational, that would've been handy for us to know beforehand. 1) It gets pretty windy on the terrace, so don't leave any loose items there. 2) There are 2 dogs on the property. They bark but are friendly. 3) There is nothing within walking distance, but the town of Mesão Frio is only a 5 minute drive away All in all a great 5 star experience, and we had a fantastic stay.

I have never done AirBb before and was expecting AI pics, but OMG the view doesn't do it justice. You have to see it. I have fallen in love ❤️ with Casa Imaginario, the Douro Valley and Mesao Frio. Constantino and Cynthia are fantastic hosts, they stay within the property and you feel right at home. There is a kiosk just outside of the property which was great for coffee. The Imaginario viewpoint is right next to the property. We did loads of trips and loved Braga , Vila Real and Amarante. We also did Amarante water park which was great foe the kids. We ate in all of rhe restaurants in Mesao Frio and out favourite was Churrasqueira Filipa. Food was amazind and value for money is amazing (€60 for 4 meals, puddings, water, coffee, juices and bottle of wine). We bought some wine and Port at the local Adega. I will definitely be back and Constantino you have my details if you ever fancy to sell up..😉

This place is a dream come true. I hadn’t left and I already wanted to come back. The pictures don’t do this place justice. The views are BREATHTAKING and the place is super cozy efficient and beautiful. The pool is a plus. Very close to the downtown restaurants and markets. Constantino is super kind and gave us a full tour of the place himself and explained everything. He does live on the property but that was not an issue at all as we barely saw him.

My friends and I came to this area of Portugal for the Douro Maratón (which I highly recommend) and this location was absolutely stunning! I would almost go as far as to say the photos can’t do it justice. The views are impeccable and the home is delightful. The hosts made it easy to get in and greeted us when we arrived. Generally, it’s pretty easy to get to. We didn’t receive a lot of instruction on how to get there but it was easy to figure out. This doesn’t matter that much to me but the interior is a little outdated - old wooden furniture, firm mattress, etc. I highly recommend people check this place out!

We have stayed in numerous AIRBNB's and I would have to say that the view was the best yet!! Amazing!! Host is very nice and their property is very interesting to walk around.

What a magnificent place. Unbelievable view and as a bonus there was a pool. You could walk the vineyard that Constantino was harvesting. Just a great place to stay. Can't wait to come back.

House with a wonderful view, terrace with everything necessary to spend a good afternoon by the pool. House clean and with a fully equipped kitchen. We were welcomed by Mr. Constatino and his wife who were wonderful people to us, always available for any questions or problems. Very responsive in everything and an inexplicable kindness. I highly recommend the place, especially at night it's a peaceful retreat for those who enjoy it. We made the most of the house and the pool, I strongly recommend visiting, you will not regret it. Thank you very much for these fantastic 3 days, and we look forward to returning.

As soon as you arrive, you are overwhelmed by the fantastic view. Very spacious and clean house, and on top of that a private pool with yet another magnificent view. Highly recommended!

This location of this house is beautiful and the pool is a big plus! Tino was very welcoming when we arrived and provided assistance whenever we needed! Would definitely recommend staying here. The House was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. We will have to come back!

Constantino was a great host who helped us navigate the area and provided great local recommendations. We did not have a car and he was very helpful arranging transportation. The views from the deck and pool area are stunning. The pool was a welcome respite after exploring the area the Douro quintas

The hospitality was outstanding! Tino went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, our visits with Constantino and our spectacular view! Our home for three nights was clean, comfortable, and offered all the amenities that we needed. We were also provided a tour to the top of the mountain with an amazing view of the Duoro Valley. A hearfelt thank you to Constantino and Cynthia from the Canadians!

We loved our stay at Tino and Cynthia’s house. The view from the house is incredible, you can spend hours looking at it! The house is very spacious and extremely clean. The pool was lovely and really well kept. It was also great to have all the essentials available for use. Tino is very friendly and helpful. He runs a bar/kiosk at the top of the drive selling wine with grapes harvested from his vineyard. We had a lovely few days here and have come away feeling really relaxed and rested. We would love to stay for longer next time! Thank you Tino!

The pictures can’t describe the view. If you are planning a trip to the area, you better stay at this house. Swimming pool, near downtown, outstanding host, unbelievable views etc. Can’t say enough of the place. Also the best Porto explanation we received in two weeks.

This place is everything it promises and then some. The views are spectacular and you can spend the whole day just looking at the river. The house and the bedrooms are nice and spacious and there is everything you need for your stay. Do not miss their little ‘bar’ at the end of the short driveway. Again a great view and good food and service from your hosts. The pictures shown are for real. ps. watch out for the evening wind on the terrace. it is nippy 🌬

Der Aufenthalt hat sich sehr gelohnt. Die Gastgeber haben uns sehr Herzlich empfangen und auch alles gezeigt. Es war sehr gemütlich und man hat einen sehr schönen Blick auf die Douro. Der Pool ist eines der Highlites. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei kommen.

The stay was very worthwhile. The hosts warmly welcomed us and showed us everything. It was very cozy, and there is a beautiful view of the Douro. The pool is one of the highlights. We will definitely come back.

Pictures and descriptions do not make justice to this place and the experience it provides . Cynthia and her grandfather “Tino” are fantastic hosts . From the moment you meet them you feel like your are part of the family too. Don’t let the lack of numerous reviews deter you . Tino has been renting his amazing property for over 20 years but he is new to Airbnb .The view from this place is absolutely fantastic ! Like nothing I have ever seen . The property is surrounded by Mr. Tino’s vines and he makes awesome Port wine ( offered me some on the first day ! ) . The location is superb, the property has AC in every room. Tino has a quiosk on the road in front of the house serving local wines, tapas and coffee. His extremely cute dog “boneca “ is in the premisses making sure that everyone is loved. This is truly an immaginary house!!!

The property is tucked away very near a famous viewpoint. The owner was very helpful with restaurant suggestions.

There is a café hut open not far from the end of the drive. We were able to buy any food and drink we needed in a small supermarket in the local town of Masão Frio - a short 4 minute drive away.

We found a through-the-vines and along-the-valley 20-30 minute walk to nearby Rede.

Decor is older Portuguese style, a little tired but completely adequate.

The pool is bigger than it looks in the photos and is regularly cleaned. The sunlounge cushions need replacing. 

There are the most beautiful views over the valley both up- and down-river.

The views were absolutely amazing! The host was friendly and helpful. The furnishings could use some updating but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This listing exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The hosts, the property, the view, and the location were perfect. We wish we had booked it for a week!

New Year's

We absolutely loved our visit in Mesao Frio. Tino’s house was perfect for us, we didn’t want to leave. We loved the views from every room and especially the backyard. We also enjoyed a 1 hour boat ride, wine museum, dinner at Tasca de zequinha (Andre and Alisa) and bakeries near Aundreas and Alisa’s place. 

Highly recommend Tino’s house and all that we did.
