Short Break

Un grand merci a François pour nous avoir accueilli chez lui pendant nos deux semaines en Martinique. Le logement est simple mais fonctionnel, pile poil ce qu'il nous fallait! La cerise sur le gâteau, la piscine en libre accès et la petite terrasse ombragée visitée par les colibris... François s'est montré très accueillant, ravi d'aider et de conseiller quand besoin était, tout en restant discret. Merci encore et peut être a une prochaine fois!

Emplacement idéal au centre, proche de l'aéroport et de nombreux commerces, mais situé dans un lotissement très calme.  Appartement charmant et bien équipé. Bon accueil et bonne communication avec le propriétaire des lieux, il a mis à notre disposition un lit parapluie pour notre bébé. Malheureusement en raison des conditions météo durant notre séjour, nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la piscine.

Ideal location in the center, close to the airport and many shops, but situated in a very quiet neighborhood. Charming and well-equipped apartment. Good welcome and good communication with the owner, he provided a travel cot for our baby. Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions during our stay, we could not enjoy the pool.

Une seule chose à dire- parfait! J’ai trouvé l’appartement très propre, super location, près de l’aéroport mais on ne se sent pas « en ville ».. l’hôte est très sympa, réponds très vite. J’ai passée deux très bonnes nuits, j’aurais bien aimé rester plus longtemps!

One thing to say - perfect! I found the apartment very clean, super location, close to the airport but you don’t feel "in the city". The host is very nice, responds very quickly. I had two very good nights, I would have liked to stay longer!

Logement calme indépendant idéalement situé pour l’arrivée et le départ voir même pour un séjour complet car c’est au milieu du nord et du sud de l’île. L’hôte est discret mais à la fois présent ce qui est un plus si on a besoin de quelque chose ou de renseignement. Et le gros plus la jolie et agréable piscine agréable après une longue journée de vadrouille. Je recommande cette petite perle du Lamentin.

Calm independent accommodation ideally located for arrival and departure, even for a complete stay as it is in the middle of the island between the north and the south. The host is discreet but also present which is a plus if you need something or information. And the huge plus is the lovely and pleasant swimming pool, great after a long day of wandering. J’ai fait le début et la fin de mon séjour dans ce petit studio très agréable et très calme. Très bien situé avec un hôte très arrangeant sur les heures d’arrivées et départ. Et un échange facile en partageant une infusion à la citronnelle du jardin ou un bon rhum arrangé fait maison.Je recommande ce Airbnb.

I spent the beginning and the end of my stay in this lovely and very quiet little studio. It is very well located with a very accommodating host regarding arrival and departure times. And an easy exchange while sharing a lemongrass infusion from the garden or some nice homemade rum. I recommend this Airbnb.

Positive : Excellent location in a quiet  residential neighbourhood close to the airport, lovely backyard with a pool, easy departure to most directions (except St-Pierre) without having to cross Fort de France. Outstanding bakery in walking distance, large supermarket also very close. Very smooth communication with hosts, late departure request accomodated without a problem.
 Negative : The place feels like kind of a garage rebuilt into an appartment. The owners park their cars right in front of your doors, if they do anything about the cars, you need to shut the curtains for privacy. Some fixtures need replacing (shower hook broken, toilet visibly broken and glued together), mosquito nets have holes in them. Bring your own soap and bug spray, none are provided. Allergics beware, owners have a cat and a dog (small size).

Positive : Host friendly and made me welcome. Pool an excellent addition. Fridge and small hob if needed. Bathroom good size. Easy walk to supermarket, pharmacy, fast food if required. Night life about 10 minutes drive.
 Negative : Not the fault of the host, mosquitoes were determined. And stronger window coverings would add value. Some had holes. Document with basic instructions about local services would be very helpful. Host answered all my questions and I found all that I needed.
