Stunning little traditional stone villa in a peaceful location amongst olive groves . Well equipped. Really enjoyed the pool, the sundeck the outdoor kitchen/bbq and the terrace. Lovely sunsets from the top floor balcony. The garden was much appreciated by our dog and so were the walks in the nearby lanes. We all also enjoyed the 45min walk to Pučisca down a quiet track. It is a nice walk albeit a bit steep on the way back. Would love to come back.

Maison isolée donc très calme. Bien équipée, très jolie. La piscine et le barbecue : super ! La chambre en mezzanine dispose d’un escalier en pas japonais. Il faut le ventilateur toute la nuit pour y dormir en plein été. Le village de Pucisca en contrebas est magnifique!

Isolated house, so it's very quiet. Well-equipped, very pretty. The pool and the barbecue: awesome! The mezzanine bedroom has a Japanese-style staircase. You need the fan all night to sleep up there in the middle of summer. The village of Pucisca down below is beautiful!

Nous avons passé quelques jours à la villa girasole. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Maria et son mari, qui ont été très disponibles à chacune de nos demandes. La maison est très propre, agréable et bien située à proximité du village de Pucisca . L’île est superbe et très calme.

We spent a few days at Villa Girasole. We were warmly welcomed by Maria and her husband, who were very available for each of our requests. The house is very clean, pleasant, and well situated near the village of Pucisca. The island is beautiful and very quiet.

Un havre de paix sur l'île de Brac : c'est sans doute notre meilleur moment passé en Croatie ! Nous n'avons qu'une envie:revenir dans la villa de Marina l'été prochain !

We had an excellent stay at Villa Girasole. Marina is lovely, very welcoming, available, and very kind! Her house is simply magnificent!!! A haven of peace on the island of Brac: it is undoubtedly our best moment spent in Croatia! We only have one desire: to return to Marina's villa next summer!

Wir hatten wunderbare 2 Wochen in dieser Ferienunterkunft verbracht und können sie sehr weiterempfehlen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft von Marina & Ante . Von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise standen sie jederzeit mit wertvollen Tipps und Unterstützung zur Seite. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer sehr ruhigen und privaten Umgebung – perfekt, um abzuschalten. Gleichzeitig ist sie ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel zu erkunden. Die wunderschöne Stadt Pučišća mit seinem besonderen Charme ist schnell erreichbar und auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Auch die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Der gepflegte Pool war eine herrliche Erfrischung an warmen Tagen und der Grillbereich sowie die Terrasse und dem Balkon mit wunderschönen Panorama Blick auf das Meer sowie das Festland und einzigartigen Sonnenuntergängen bot die perfekte Möglichkeit, gemütliche Abende im Freien zu verbringen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

We spent wonderful 2 weeks in this holiday accommodation and can highly recommend it. We would especially like to highlight the exceptional hospitality and helpfulness of Marina & Ante. From arrival to departure, they were always on hand with valuable tips and support. The accommodation is located in a very quiet and private area - perfect for unwinding. At the same time, it is an ideal starting point for exploring the island. The beautiful town of Pučišća with its special charm is quickly accessible and definitely worth a visit. The facilities also left nothing to be desired. The well-kept pool was a delightful refreshment on warm days, and the barbecue area as well as the terrace and balcony with beautiful panoramic views of the sea and the mainland and unique sunsets offered the perfect opportunity to spend cozy evenings outdoors. We will definitely be back!

Great Location!

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Marina's house. The pool, the location, and the host's hospitality made for a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

For a family of four (kids 12 and 8), this was the ideal property for a 4-night stay to relax and as a base for exploring the rest of Brac. The villa itself was well-equipped and modern, with a lovely open living area. The essential aircon worked well. The outside area, with pool and BBQ, was perfect for chilling out and the surroundings were peaceful and private with great views over to the mainland from the balcony. We enjoyed a drink up there watching a beautiful sunset! Pucsica was a stunning little town just a 5-min drive away with a quiet feel but nice restaurants and bars. Plus a small beach and inflatable playground which was ideal for the kids on a hot day. We also visited Bol, a 30-minute drive across the island, with its famous (but busy) beach and tree-lined promenade. Closer to home is a rare sandy beach, Plaža Lovrečina, which is worth a visit. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend Marina and Ante's villa, as well as a stay on Brac itself.

Wer ruhig und sehr privat eine schöne Zeit in einem wundervollen Ambiente verbringen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das schnukelige Häuschen hat man ganz für sich alleine, da wir nur zu zweit waren, haben wir diese Freiheit sehr genossen. Pool und Grillplatz sind top, das Auto kann direkt auf dem eingezäunten Gelände vor der Haustür abgestellt werden. Durch die Abgeschiedenheit (der nächste Nachbar ist etwa 100 Meter entfernt) müssen natürlich alle Einkäufe und Ausflüge mit dem Auto erledigt werden. Sollten Probleme auftauchen, werden diese durch die sehr netten Gastgeber schnellstmöglich behoben. Insgesamt haben wir uns super wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen.

If you want to spend a lovely time in a wonderful setting, quiet and very private, this is the place for you. You have the cozy little house all to yourself; since there were only two of us, we really enjoyed this freedom. The pool and barbecue area are great, and the car can be parked directly on the fenced property right at the front door. Due to the seclusion (the nearest neighbor is about 100 meters away), all shopping and excursions must of course be done by car. If any problems arise, the very nice hosts will resolve them as quickly as possible. Overall, we felt very comfortable and can definitely recommend the accommodation.

Wir haben uns sehr Wohlgefühlt. Es war so ruhig und so entspannend wie kein anderer Urlaub davor. Ein wunderschönes Haus mit einem riesigen Garten und einem tollen Pool. Am liebsten wären wir gar nicht mehr nachhause gefahren.

We felt very comfortable. It was as quiet and relaxing as no other vacation before. A beautiful house with a huge garden and a great pool. We would have preferred not to go home at all.

Fantastic house for relaxation

Wow! This place is an absolute dream. Marina and Ante are wonderful and so so helpful. We were four adults and a dog and had plenty of space at this beautiful villa. It’s easy to get to many different towns and beaches (by car) and grocery stores and restaurants were all within 15 min driving. The yard was beautiful and the pool was much needed and relaxing. The only thing I will note is that the stairs going up to the loft bedroom may not be best for an older person or children as they are steep and slick. Otherwise, it was absolutely amazing and we hope to be back!

Such a beautiful oasis. The house, garden and pool make for a relaxing retreat in the countryside. We are still close to everything and the beach is a quick drive away. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here

Bei dieser tollen Unterkunft gibt es nichts zu meckern. Wir waren als Familie zu Gast und hatten einen Traum Urlaub. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus liegt wie beschrieben auf einem Berg, wo man Traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge beobachten kann. Wir hatten leider das Pech, dass die Hauptstraße die zum Haus führt erneuert wurde, somit mussten wir einen sehr schmalen Schotterweg in Kauf nehmen. Das Ort Pucisca ist wunderschön, dort gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und tolle Restaurants. Wir empfehlen für Kroatische Küche, The Port und Konoba Lado und die beste Pizza gibt es bei Fontana. Die Insel selbst hat traumhafte Buchten, die man am besten mit dem Boot erreicht. Hier mal eine Adresse die wir empfehlen können marmiaboats.hr .Bei An und Abreise lohnt es sich über die Fähre von Makarska nach Sumartin zu nehmen, da hier keine lange warte Zeit entsteht. Man sollte aber vorher unbedingt reservieren.

There's nothing to complain about this wonderful accommodation. We stayed as a family and had a dream vacation. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. The house is located as described on a hill, where you can observe breathtaking sunsets. Unfortunately, we were unlucky that the main road leading to the house was being renovated, so we had to take a very narrow gravel road. The town of Pucisca is beautiful, there are shopping opportunities and great restaurants. We recommend for Croatian cuisine, The Port and Konoba Lado, and the best pizza can be found at Fontana. The island itself has stunning coves that are best reached by boat. Here's an address we can recommend: marmiaboats.hr. When arriving and departing, it's worth taking the ferry from Makarska to Sumartin, as there is no long waiting time. However, you should definitely book in advance.

This place was incredible, remote, very quiet but also a short drive to the beautiful city of Pucisca. There was enough space for 5 of us. Very nice swimming pool you can use in the evening as well (got backlights). Decent size patio to relax with a drink or eat food you can prepare on bbq. Marina and her husband Ante were probably one of the nicest hosts we ever had.

The House of Marina has a great location with an amazing view. We had everything we needed and we really loved to stay there. Marina is a nice host and is answering any questions really fast! It‘s a perfect location for four people who know each other well, because one room upstairs is open so the privacy is not given for sure. We had to take the car to go anywhere because the house is located in the mountains and the distances are far to walk. So if you are looking for adventure, peace, quiet and beautiful sunsets this is the perfect place to be❤️

Villa Girasole is such a charming little place with complete privacy. The house is fully equipped and the pool is so nice to have and clean. Marina and Ante are very dedicated hosts and whenever we needed anything, they did not hesitate to respond or come help us navigate the way through the house. We were unsure where to stay in Brac since there are so many little villages but we are so happy to have discovered Pucisca, the most charming and clean little town. It was definitely a big highlight of our trip in Croatia.

Our stay at Villa Girasole can be described with just one word: perfect. It's exactly what you see in the pictures just enhanced when you see it in real life. The place had everything we needed, from amenities to the views from the balcony, we felt like at home. isolated but at the same time close enough to the town of Pucisca (I know I probably am biased here, but the most beautiful town in the whole island) Ante and her husband are simply the best, we could tell the effort they make to keep the house clean and cozy, with all the details that make the difference between a place to sleep after a day exploring the island and a real welcoming home. They were invisible when we wanted our own space, super helpful when we needed them answering within minutes, we could not have had better hosts! Thank you for everything, we hope to come back in the future and enjoy again the island and Villa Girasole!

Villa Girasole is a wonderful place for people who want to spend time a bit far from big crowds.It's located on the broad hill , surrended by olive trees and some groves. It's a fanced-in area and there is almost nobody in the neighborhood (we could see or hear sometimes some people outside but it was a rarity). Great pool is next to the house and it's intended for guest's use- the water is clear an warm. The house is fantastic- with 2 bedrooms, living room and well equipped kitchenette it has absolutelly everything you need for comfortable stay. There is also big grill/oven outside the house and supply of wood. Beautiful town of Pučišća is 10 minutes driving away from the house. Marina and Ante are nice and helpful but they don't bother and don't disturb at all.

An amazing private sanctuary to remove yourself from the world This is the place to go to for complete relaxation in your own private sanctuary away from the busy life of the mainland. Croatia itself is a beautiful and inviting country, and the islands are just so idyllic for a getaway. We had the most relaxing time seeing the sights that the whole island of Brač had to offer while based in the small town us Pučišća. The town itself is only a short drive away through some olive groves, which is a stunning drive itself. All this ads to the amazing charm that Marina’s villa offers. We did manage to visit Bol and a few of the other towns and beaches around the island, noting is too far away and the roads are amazing, everything is well signposted even if you don’t have a satnav, and don’t forget you have a beautiful beach in the town itself, so you don’t have to go far. The villa itself was just what we expected in terms of location and space. Inside the house you could relax in the cooled air conditioned space, but why would you stay inside when the outside was hot, sunny and beautiful. We spent most of the time in the pool or sitting beside the pool in this private retreat. Talking of the pool it was very clean and warm too, it didn’t take long for the morning sun to heat up the pool to an acceptable temperature. Once you are in you will not want to get out. Evenings were spent exploring the local town for food options, and there are some great restaurants available. Marina was also very helpful in offering recommendations. In fact Marina and her husband were amazing hosts available for us at any point if we needed anything. Upon our arrival Marina met us in the town centre and lead us to the villa, where she gave us a tour of the villa showing us all the amenities and how to use everything in the house. The bedrooms both have comfortable beds, and the mezzanine bedroom offers views out over the island towards the mainland from it’s balcony. The house is also off the grid and self-sustaining which is an amazing feat. Everything you need is provided by the house from the land, there is even a small vegetable patch. We enjoyed the tomatoes from the garden. We never run out of water or power, however as it is off the grid everything is managed by the automated systems, and the air con does turn off in the evening, so you may want to make sure you keep all the doors and windows closed during the day so not to waste any of that bliss. Then in the evening as you turn in just open up the windows to help with keeping you cool through the night, or bring a fan for the bedroom. Kitchenette is small but has everything you need a good size fridge to keep all your local meats and cheese chilled that you can buy in the local shop about 5min drive from the villa. There was no freezer, but the fridge was spacious and to be honest we did not miss the freezer, we preferred having everything fresh rather than frozen. Instead of having ice we just made sure we chilled enough water for the day. Oh and there is a beautiful big BBQ area by the pool. There’s space for a few cars outside the villa and even an outside space with a table for alfresco dining, where we had all our meals while there, or just sitting in the evening sun with a glass of Pelinkovac (Croatian herbal liquor), or you can have some local wine and nibbles. Marina is extremely knowledgeable and proud of her heritage which was great help. We wish we could have stayed longer and we will definitely be back. Thank you for being such a SUPERHOST and for making our stay so amazing. If you’re reading this review and considering this villa then look no further it’s close to everything when you have a car, but offers a retreat away from the world to have a peaceful and restful stay.

We enjoyed Villa Girasole a lot; it is a very nice, cute house in an amazing garden and the view from the upper bedroom is breathtaking. Also very well connected to the town, Pucisca and it is easy to explore all Brac has to offer. A really great experience and we hope to come back one day!

Marina was great host. Villa Girasole is such a nice house on Brac island. The house was built in 2015, fully equipped with high quality materials and decorated with taste. The swimming-pool is great which was useful with the warm this summer. Thanks a lot for this great experience.

What a great place to stay!!! Marina and Ante were both very helpfull and not only have they ensured for the accomodation but also showed us around the Village and got us more familiar with the live on the Island. The place and the Village is what you need for good rest far from the crowd.

Our family spent an amazing week in Brac, made particularly special by staying at Marina's beautiful house in the hills, surrounded by peaceful olive groves and fluttering butterflies. Only a short drive away from the centre of Pucisca, a quiet and beautiful region of Brac, with lovely rocky beaches and fantastic restaurants. Marina was a truly fantastic host and went the extra mile to make our stay even more memorable! Highly recommended.

Marina is a lovely, lovely hostess and so kind.  The villa is prefect and in such a pretty place.  We rented a boat from Marina at Pucisca and this made a lovely day out.  The restaurants and village shops in Pucisca are amazing and good value.  The town is SO pretty and friendly.  The beaches are great as long as you have good shoes as they are stoney.  Personally I wouldn't bother going to Bol (the touristy bit) as the rest of Brac is much quieter and prettier.

Villetta molto spaziosa e recente. Si trova sulle colline sopra il Pucisca, in una zona molto tranquilla. Ha un bel giardino, un camino esterno, una piscina e un orto a disposizione degli ospiti. La casa è spaziosa, noi abbiamo alloggiato in 3 siamo stati molto comodi. La padrona di casa ci ha accolto in paese a accompagnato personalmente alla casa: disponibilissima e gentile per tutta la vacanza. In 5 minuti in auto si raggiunge il paese. Consigliamo molto volentieri di soggiornare a Villa Girasole!

Very spacious and recent villa. It is located on the hills above Pucisca, in a very quiet area. It has a beautiful garden, an outdoor fireplace, a swimming pool, and a vegetable garden available for guests. The house is spacious, we stayed in 3 and were very comfortable. The hostess welcomed us in the village and personally accompanied us to the house: very accommodating and kind throughout the vacation. In 5 minutes by car you can reach the village. We highly recommend staying at Villa Girasole!

We loved our stay at Villa Girasole. It is remote, which was fine for us as we hired a car for the duration of our 9 night holiday. The upper terrace of the villa has magical views over towards Split. The sunsets are amazing. The town of Pucisa is quite serene and magical, quite un like anywhere else on Brac island. We ate every night at Pizza Marin a family run local restaurant and loved the ambiance.

For us this place is the best at Brac. Me and my girlfriend were looking for a deserted and private place in the middle of nowhere, but still close to a vibrant place. Marina and Ante's little villa has a beautiful view from the balcony over the sea and main land. The pool is great to cool down and the bbq perfect for good local fish/meat and vegetables from their own the garden. Marina and Ante are great people, helpful and 'good energy'. Pucisca was for us the most beautiful town in Croatia we have seen. We rented a boat for one day, to leave the harbour at center of the village and go to the open water. I can only highly recommend this place if you are looking for something special!

This place was incredible! Such a great getaway for a few nights. Peaceful. And the inside is also well decorated. The local town is also beautiful, we enjoyed eating there every night. Plus, Marina is extremely helpful, and a great host!

My wife and I with two of our close friends spend a week at Villa Girasole and we highly recommend this beautiful quite place! The house was neat and clean, very comfortable and in a very peaceful area. We were able to eat vegetables from the garden and use the barbecue place, as well as eat outside. We felt like we owned the house. Marina is the most friendly little lady- she was there whenever we needed anything, helped with any information we happened to ask for. You will not regret spending your vacation at Villa Girasole!!!

Die Gastfreundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von Marina & Ante waren mehr als wir erwarten durften. Villa Girasole steht mitten in Olivenhaine, daher ist absolute Ruhe zu erwarten. Die Aussicht und Sonnenuntergänge sind traumhaft. Fazit: Wir haben uns mehr als Wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder!

The hospitality and helpfulness of Marina & Ante was more than we could have expected. Villa Girasole is set in the middle of olive groves, so absolute tranquility can be expected. The views and sunsets are stunning. In conclusion: We felt more than comfortable and will definitely return!

When we arrived on Brac, Marina met us and accompanied us to her beautiful house. We felt at home immediately and Marina and Ante made sure that we have got some great holidays at their house.  There isn't really a neighbourhood as we know it but there are a few houses around. But surely it is so quiet there and you can definetely enjoy nature and the peace and quiet.

Your own little piece of paradise on a beautiful island and a beautiful private villa with all the amenities . I have stayed with my family and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The island itself has lots of small beeches around and even the most famous beech of Bol is short driving distance. The host Marina could not have been more helpful, she was available to answer any questions at any time of the day. If we needed anything she would go above beyond to help and make our stay as comfortable as possible. I would definitely come back here again and would recommend the place to anyone without hesitation.

Marina's villa it absolutely fantastic. It was spotlessly clean and everything is of a very high standard. We had a wonderful honeymoon here.   It was fantastic to be able to relax around the house and enjoy it. When we did go out, we found the local town to be one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The surrounding area is interesting and picturesque. We didn't go anywhere without being amazed by the places and views on the way.  Finally, Marina and her husband was a wonderful hosts. They are genuinely pleasant, warm and kind people. In fact everyone we met in Croatia was like this. If you haven't been to Croatia and in particular Pučišća on the island of Brač then I would recommend that you do; my wife and I agree that it is the best place we have ever been. These wonderful people have joined the EU just recently and good luck to them; it hammers home to us what we have lost as British citizens by leaving the EU.

Vi kunde inte ha begärt mer. Vi har haft fantastiska dagar i Pusisca och Marinas hus. Marina och hennes familj har bjudit på dig själva och sin by och lämnat en guldkant till vår vistelse här.  Huset var fantastiskt fint och genomtänkt med alla bekvämligheter för oss som gäster. Här bodde vi helt avskilt med stor trädgård. Barnen älskade poolen.  Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

We couldn't have asked for more. We had fantastic days in Pusisca and Marina's house. Marina and her family shared themselves and their village with us and added a golden touch to our stay here. 
The house was beautifully designed and well thought-out with all the comforts for us as guests. We lived completely secluded with a large garden. The children loved the pool. 
We would gladly come back!

Fantastic stay

Marina's place is real paradise. It is completely peaceful with magnificient views. The house is beautiful and comfortable and the outside was like being in a private oasis. Marina and her husband were extremely kind and attentive hosts. We felt at home with friends nearby in them. We loved our stay at their home and recommend it to everyone who truly wants to disconnect from busy life and enjoy beauty and peace.

We felt in love with this place! Well first of all, we decided very much spontaniously, where to go for a week trip... We got very quick and nice responses, so we were very much looking forward to get to brač, without any expectations, besides having a relaxing time... But boy we were in for a treat... Since arriving in split, marina(the owner) was in constant contakt with us, to make sur e we get there savely, know which ferry options are there and also gave us the idea to have a look around splits old town first(which is beautiful) ... Arriving in the village, marina expected us and guided the way to the house, which is situated just 5 min from the citycenter! Very green, very much quiet and no visible neighbours.the house had a nice pool ,big grill, little playground for kids.... And as a big plus a vegetable garden... We were generously ofered to use everything we wanted and ended up cooking every day with fresh supplys of "our" own garden!everything was very clean and presented with love... We felt very welcome and more so... It felt like beeing at friends. Marina and her family are very proud island originals and love do give insight and share storys or cooking ideas... Higly recomendable!!! Thanks

Villa Girasole was great!  It is a very nice house with a nice pool, which was perfect for the beautiful Croatian weather during my stay.  Everything in the house worked well - the kitchen had everything I needed, the washing machine was handy, and the WiFi was excellent.  The house is so private and quiet that it was surprising when you could hear a car drive down the road nearby.  Marina and her husband were available to help with anything I could need, even offering to bring supplies to me, and were very accommodating when my plans changed at the end.  It was a great stay - I'd highly recommend it to anyone coming to Brac.  

The apartment was as beautiful as on the photos, located in a silent, peaceful area. For us, Pučišća is one of the loveliest places in the country with unique atmosphere.  Our hosts were very kind, we could ask their help in any question and they gave us a lot of useful advice. We would recommend visiting them and their house. Thanks Marina & Ante for the wonderful week!! :)

The place was more spacious than expected - we had everything we needed. The owner was incredibly forthcoming on anything we needed; super helpful and great to communicate with. Fantastic private space in the vicinity of the town that had everything
