Senegal is best discovered between the Atlantic, the Sahel bush and the banks of the Casamance River. From Dakar to the markets of Thiès, from the beaches of the Petite Côte to the bolongs of the south, the country blends lively cities, nature and encounters. Our whole-home rentals give you the space to explore at your own pace.

Exploring the coast, the cities and the bush

Start with Gorée Island, a short ferry ride from Dakar, for its House of Slaves and ochre-colored lanes. On the Petite Côte, Saly and Somone offer beaches and a lagoon that draws birdlife. Head up to Saint-Louis, the former capital with UNESCO-listed colonial heritage, before spotting pelicans in Langue de Barbarie National Park.

In Thiès, the Tapestry Factory and the large market give a sense of everyday Senegalese life. In Casamance, around Ziguinchor, you can navigate the palm-lined bolongs and visit Cap Skirring with its fine sandy beaches. Cooking a thiéboudienne with market produce back at your accommodation adds to the experience at your own table.

Where to stay

Thiès, an hour from Dakar, makes an ideal base for exploring the coast and the Lompoul Desert. A university and craft town, it combines urban energy with easy access to coastal sites. Our houses and apartments here suit families as well as groups of friends.

Ziguinchor, the capital of Casamance, charms with its gentler riverside atmosphere, old houses and colorful market. It's the starting point for pirogue trips and excursions to the beaches of the south. Having a kitchen and several bedrooms makes longer stays in the countryside much easier.
