We had 2 lovely weeks of vacation with 5 people, without any particular issues, at Japanese Spring. The clean cottage is comfortable, and its amenities match the description. The original garden offers several small welcome relaxation areas. A reserved parking space for the car is also appreciated. There is a good pizzeria nearby. For other shops, you need the car. There are many activities in the surroundings. The region is beautiful (lakes, Vercors, Les Ecrins). Jacqueline and Francis are welcoming hosts. They genuinely care about pleasing their guests. They are both discreet and available.

Very well-located accommodation: 30 minutes from Lake Monteynard (access Savel) and immediately close to other attractions (swimming lakes, hiking departures, La Mure, Vizille, etc.). As stated in the advertisement, the house is located by the road, but this does not disturb at all at night. Magnificent landscaped gardens, superbly maintained: my children loved the fish pond and the Japanese tea house/pavilion. Very clean accommodation: cleaning fees seem high at first glance (50 euros), but the facilities are clearly well cleaned after each visit and appear new! Very present hosts (who live in the other house on the same property) and therefore always available. We were welcomed with a tour of the gardens and an aperitif. Francis and Jacqueline illuminated the garden in the evening and offered us dessert: the children were delighted. Be sure to ask for any amenities you might be missing: very responsive hosts. No possibility to add travelers after booking (rate much higher than the rate indicated on AirBnb).
