Michel is a top host! Both for his advice, his availability, and his friendly but discreet presence. The accommodation is very comfortable for a family with children, my daughter even enjoyed finding a small swing nearby. In the heart of nature, in a private and fenced area. We felt safe. Exceptional stay at Michel's, in the heart of Balagne, 5 minutes from the beaches and 15 minutes from the centre of Ile Rousse. The 6 small chalets are scattered across a beautiful wooded area, secure, with views of the sea and its magnificent sunsets. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour d’une semaine dans un des chalets de Michel. L’environnement est splendide. La vue plongeante sur la baie d’Algajola et les couchers de soleil sont à couper le souffle. Il y a des circuits de randonnée à proximité pour profiter de la campagne avoisinante. L’accès aux magnifique plages de Balagne et aux commerces se font en quelques minutes en voiture. Nous étions 5 et le chalet s’est trouvé être très fonctionnel, très propre et ne manquait de rien. Michel est un hôte très sympathique et réactif. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

We had a superb week-long stay in one of Michel's chalets. The surroundings are stunning. The breathtaking view of the bay of Algajola and the sunsets are mesmerizing. There are hiking trails nearby to enjoy the surrounding countryside. Access to the beautiful beaches of Balagne and the shops is just a few minutes by car. There were five of us, and the chalet turned out to be very functional, very clean, and lacked nothing. Michel is a very friendly and responsive host. We will gladly come back!

Michel et les chalets qu'il propose méritent amplement d'être reconnu comme l'un des hôtes les plus accueillant de la plate-forme et les logements qu'il propose de recevoir la note maximale. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans l'un de ses chalets. Les logements sont situés au calme en plein maquis tout en étant à 10 mn de toutes les commodités et des plus belles plages. La terrasse donne une vue direct sur la mer et le soleil se couche tous les soirs...face à vous. On pourrait uniquement se satisfaire de ces couchers de soleil magnifiques mais le logement propose bien d'autres avantages. Il est idéalement situé pour visiter toute la Balagne et particulièrement la côte entre l'île Rousse et Calvi tout en étant dans un endroit calme et apaisant. Le logement est d'une propreté impécable et propose toutes les commodités. Michel a été bien plus qu'un hôte très prévenant, merci à lui. Nous espérons largement pouvoir y revenir et ne pouvons que le recommander vivement.

Michel and the chalets he offers definitely deserve to be recognized as one of the most welcoming hosts on the platform, and the accommodations he provides should receive the highest rating. We had an excellent stay in one of his chalets. The accommodations are located in a quiet area amidst the maquis, yet are only 10 minutes from all amenities and the most beautiful beaches. The terrace has a direct view of the sea, and the sun sets every evening... right in front of you. One could be satisfied with just these beautiful sunsets, but the accommodation offers many other advantages. It is ideally situated to explore the entire Balagne, particularly the coastline between L'île Rousse and Calvi, while being in a calm and soothing place. The accommodation is impeccably clean and offers all conveniences. Michel has been much more than a very thoughtful host, thank you to him. We sincerely hope to return and can only highly recommend him.

Great stay in the heart of the maquis! We were in peace, with an incredible view of the sea and the hills, and we enjoyed the sunsets on the terrace. 8 jours de vraies vacances. Le calme,la vue,le confort c était très bien. Le choix des activités aux alentours est varié et Michel toujours disponible pour des conseils. Pour le plaisir je conseille le leclerc drive à 3 mn en voiture qui évite de perdre son temps au supermarché.

Accueil très chaleureux et disponibilité de Michel. Ambiance familiale et pas de promiscuité gênante entre les bungalows. Nous étions 4 adultes et l’espace est suffisant et bien pensé. Un emplacement qui permet de découvrir la Balagne, beaucoup de beaux sites aux alentours. Un séjour très agréable à recommander.

Je ne sais pas si je dois vous parler de notre superbe bungalow perché sur les hauteurs d'un domaine à la vue incroyable sur le littorale et proche du village de Corbara, de Calvi ou de l’île Rousse ou bien vous parler de notre Hôte Michel qui à rendu notre séjour plus authentique par son accueil sa gentillesse et sa simplicité . Mes enfants de 8, 11 et 13 ans ma femme et moi sommes revenus enchantés si je devais vous donner un conseil ne ratez pas la randonnée menant au village fantôme de Occi. En tout cas sachez que Michel vous donneras les meilleurs conseils de sorties restaurants les bons, les plages et les plus belles activités encore mille mercis Michel pour nous avoir fait découvrir la rivière Fango.

I don't know whether to tell you about our superb bungalow perched on the heights of an estate with an incredible view of the coastline and close to the village of Corbara, Calvi or Ile Rousse, or to talk about our host Michel, who made our stay more authentic with his welcoming nature, kindness, and simplicity. My children aged 8, 11, and 13, my wife, and I returned delighted. If I were to give you some advice, don’t miss the hike to the ghost village of Occi. In any case, know that Michel will give you the best recommendations for outings, good restaurants, beaches, and the most beautiful activities. A thousand thanks Michel for helping us discover the Fango river.

Michel est un personnage atypique. C’est une chance que nous soyons tombés sur lui car avec la petite boulette concernant notre réservation pour un séjour d’un peu moins 3 semaines (du lundi 22 juillet au vendredi 09 août 2019), nous avons bien failli ne pas aller en Corse. Il y a une 1ère à tout et nous sommes sa 1ère boulette dans ses réservations et il s’en souviendra comme nous aussi (car c’est une 1ère pour nous aussi ). Mais quelle merveilleuse boulette ! Et surtout quel merveilleux rattrapage à moins d’une semaine de notre départ ! Alors que j’appelais pour prendre contact avec Michel pour la 1ère fois avant de vraiment décoller pour la Corse (auparavant j’étais plutôt en contact direct avec sa nièce, Santa qui gérait les annonces sur Airbnb), nous nous sommes aperçus que Michel n’avait pas noté notre réservation (une série de malchances avec la perte de son téléphone étant à l’origine de cette erreur). A ce moment-là, il n’avait plus aucune solution à nous proposer pour un emplacement dans un de ses chalets pour la durée de notre séjour. Michel et moi, tous les deux, nous avons conservé notre calme et bien discuté pour essayer de trouver une solution, autre que la simple mais douloureuse facilité d’annuler le séjour. C’est là que Michel a dévoilé tous ces atouts et talents : en quelques coups de téléphone, il nous a proposé de résider la 1ère semaine dans une résidence avec piscine (les enfants ont été ravis) à deux pas de chez lui, la seconde semaine, nous sommes enfin arrivés dans un des chalets de Michel avec cette superbe vue sur la mer et pour la 3ème et dernière semaine, Michel nous a dégoté un très beau chalet dans un camping, très proche également de ses chalets. Les 2 gîtes de remplacement étaient magnifiques et répondaient parfaitement à tous nos critères. Michel a tenu à nous proposer des gîtes avec la même qualité de service et surtout pas inférieur à ce que lui-même pouvait proposer. Cela a été au-delà de nos espérances. Nous étions au calme dans chacun de ces 2 autres gîtes avec un excellent emplacement. Bien que nous étions contraints de faire et défaire nos valises (cela nous a pris 2 petites matinées) en fin de semaine, cela nous a aussi permis de découvrir 2 autres coins superbes. Michel a vraiment géré la situation comme un chef. Sur ce coup-là, Michel est même perdant financièrement car il a lui-même pris en charge la différence de prix qui étaient supérieurs sur les 2 semaines dans les 2 autres gîtes. Michel est donc incontestablement une très bonne personne qui est absolument dévoué à satisfaire ses clients. Parlons maintenant des chalets de Michel. C’est vraiment fidèle au descriptif et même mieux encore. Une chose qui m’a surpris : la route pour y aller qui monte fort par endroit : ça dépayse et il faut bien cela pour avoir cette belle vue sur la mer. Nous avons été chouchoutés et comblés. Sur le papier, les 2 autres gîtes de remplacement sont plus chers, mais le chalet de Michel dispose d’un atout fabuleux : ses chalets ont vus sur la mer et sont tout confort avec une climatisation et une très belle terrasse. Nous recherchions un emplacement avec beaucoup de calme et nous avons été servis. Quelle délice de contempler cette nature presque sauvage à portée de main : derrière nous, la montagne, devant la mer et le maquis avec même ces visites fortuites d’un renard et d’un milan royal, curieux, qui a survolé notre chalet. Au-delà de cette boulette de la réservation qui m’a fait découvrir une autre facette de la personnalité de Michel, j’ai aussi rencontré un homme extraordinaire. Nous avons adoré discuter de tout et de rien comme si nous nous connaissions un peu déjà et aurions aimés encore échangé avec lui sur d’innombrables sujets. Michel, c’est une très belle rencontre ! Nous avons hâte de revenir … les yeux fermés. Merci encore pour tout Michel et à très bientôt !!!

Michel is an atypical character.\nIt’s a stroke of luck that we came across him because with the little mix-up concerning our booking for a stay of just under 3 weeks (from Monday, July 22 to Friday, August 9, 2019), we almost didn’t go to Corsica. There’s a first time for everything, and we were his first mistake in his bookings, and he will remember it as we will (because it’s a first for us too ).\nBut what a marvelous mistake!\nAnd especially what a wonderful recovery less than a week before our departure!\nAs I called to get in touch with Michel for the first time before really taking off for Corsica (previously, I had been in direct contact with his niece, Santa, who managed the listings on Airbnb), we realized that Michel had not noted our booking (a series of unfortunate events stemming from the loss of his phone was the cause of this error).\nAt that moment, he had no other solutions to offer us for a placement in one of his chalets for the duration of our stay.\nMichel and I, both of us, kept our calm and had a good discussion to try to find a solution, other than the simple yet painful ease of cancelling the stay.\nIt was then that Michel revealed all his strengths and talents: with a few phone calls, he offered us to stay the first week in a residence with a pool (the children were thrilled) just steps away from his place; in the second week, we finally arrived in one of Michel’s chalets with that superb sea view, and for the 3rd and final week, Michel found us a very beautiful chalet in a campsite, also very close to his chalets.\nThe 2 replacement lodgings were magnificent and perfectly met all our criteria. Michel insisted on offering us lodgings with the same quality of service and certainly not lower than what he himself could provide.\nIt was beyond our expectations. We were quiet in each of these 2 other lodgings with an excellent location.\nAlthough we were forced to pack and unpack our bags (it took us 2 little mornings) at the end of the week, it also allowed us to discover 2 other superb spots.\nMichel really managed the situation like a pro.\nIn this instance, Michel is even at a financial loss as he himself covered the price difference that was higher in the 2 weeks in the other 2 lodgings.\nMichel is therefore undeniably a very good person who is absolutely dedicated to satisfying his clients.\nNow let’s talk about Michel’s chalets.\nThey are truly faithful to the description and even better.\nOne thing that surprised me: the road to get there climbs steeply in places: that is refreshing, and you need it to have that lovely view of the sea.\nWe were pampered and fulfilled.\nOn paper, the 2 other replacement lodgings are more expensive, but Michel’s chalet has a fabulous asset: his chalets have sea views and are fully equipped with air conditioning and a very beautiful terrace. We were looking for a location with a lot of peace and we got served. What a delight to contemplate this nearly wild nature at our fingertips: behind us, the mountains, in front of us the sea and the maquis, with even these chance visits from a fox and a royal kite, curious, flying over our chalet.\nBeyond this booking mix-up that made me discover another facet of Michel’s personality, I also met an extraordinary man.\nWe loved talking about everything and nothing as if we already knew each other a bit and would have liked to exchange with him on countless topics. \nMichel is a very beautiful encounter!\nWe can’t wait to come back… with our eyes closed.\nThank you again for everything, Michel, and see you very soon!!!

Une vue superbe, un accueil attentif et simple, des activités de rivière,  mer et montagne partout autour....le chalet est très fonctionnel et neuf, quelques chalets autour suffisamment espacés. Nous avons passé une semaine idyllique. A recommander.

Nous avons passé un formidable séjour chez Michel. Michel est un hôte à l'écoute, empathique, serviable, souhaitant que ses voyageurs soient bien chez lui. L'endroit est juste magnifique avec une supebe vue sur le couché de soleil, le calme fait du bien après les bonnes journées de visite ou de plage... le chalet est moderne, très propre et la clim est le petit plus non négligeable en Corse. Nous n'avons rien à redire, juste que si nous revenons en Corse, nous ferons un coucou à Michel ;-) ! Merciii encore

We had a fantastic stay at Michel's. Michel is an attentive, empathetic, and helpful host, wanting his guests to feel at home. The place is simply beautiful with a superb view of the sunset, and the tranquility is a relief after good days of sightseeing or at the beach... the chalet is modern, very clean, and the air conditioning is a nice extra in Corsica. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce petit havre de paix. La vue est magnifique, les repas du soir en face du coucher de soleil, le calme... Quant au chalet, il est parfaitement équipé, la climatisation nous a été fort agréable. Enfin Michel est un hôte accueillant et à l’écoute, Bref tout est réuni pour passer de merveilleuses vacances sur l’île de beauté !

We had a very pleasant stay in this little haven of peace. The view is magnificent, the evening meals facing the sunset, the tranquility... As for the chalet, it is perfectly equipped, the air conditioning was very enjoyable for us. Wir haben die Ruhe sehr genossen. Von der Veranda aus, hatten wir Abends einen spektakulären Sonnenuntergang mit Blick auf das Meer. Zu allen Annehmlichkeiten die man im Urlaub braucht sind in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit Michel war herausragend. Es wurde auf Fragen sofort reagiert und seine Tipps waren 👍. Die Wege auf dem Grundstück sind sehr gut ausgeleuchtet. Rundum, für uns ein gelungener Urlaub.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. From the veranda, we had a spectacular sunset view over the sea in the evenings. All the amenities one needs for a holiday are reachable within 10 minutes. Communication with Michel was outstanding. Questions were answered immediately, and his tips were 👍. The pathways on the property are very well lit. Overall, it was a successful holiday for us.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft entspricht den Fotos - im ersten Moment wirkte es für uns als 5 köpfige Familie dennoch sehr klein. Durch die tolle Terrasse - dem erweiterten Wohnzimmer - mit schönem Blick aufs Meer fühlten wir uns aber echt wohl! Dass die Straße zur Unterkunft unbefestigt ist, hatten wir nicht am Schirm. Sie lässt sich aber super fahren - also kein Problem! Und es ist echt schön ruhig hier!!! Michel war sehr hilfsbereit. Unser holpriges Französisch half uns bei der Kommunikation ;) Gerne wieder!

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation matches the photos - initially, it felt quite small for us as a family of five. However, the lovely terrace - the extended living room - with a beautiful view of the sea made us feel very comfortable! We didn't realize that the road to the accommodation was unpaved. However, it's great for driving - so no problem! And it’s really nice and quiet here!!! Michel was very helpful. Our shaky French assisted us in communication ;) We would love to come back!

We waren aanvankelijk wat bezorgd over de kleine oppervlakte van de bungalow omdat we een gezin van 4 zijn, maar de bungalow is heel handig ingericht met heel veel bergruimte, enkel de noodzakelijke inrichting (en niet de talloze vaasjes, beeldjes en andere prullaria die vaak in de weg staan bij grotere vakantiehuisjes). De bungalow was ook heel proper en heel geschikt voor een gezin met kleine kinderen (gemeenschappelijke ruimte met speelgoed, wasmachine,...). In de zomer kan de bungalow erg heet worden, maar de airco koelt de ruimte snel weer af. We hadden vanaf ons terras een prachtig zicht op zee met de ondergaande zon. Michel is een vriendelijke host die steeds snel antwoordt, goede tips geeft voor activiteiten en restaurants, etc.

We were initially a bit worried about the small size of the bungalow since we are a family of 4, but the bungalow is very conveniently arranged with plenty of storage, just the necessary furnishings (and not the numerous vases, figurines, and other knick-knacks that often get in the way in larger holiday homes). The bungalow was also very clean and quite suitable for a family with small children (communal area with toys, washing machine, ...). In the summer, the bungalow can get quite hot, but the air conditioning cools the room down quickly. We had a beautiful view of the sea with the sunset from our terrace. Michel is a friendly host who always responds quickly and gives great tips for activities and restaurants, etc.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist optimal,  wenn man den Norden und Westen der Insel erkunden möchte.  Verschiedene wunderschöne Strände sind in ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto gut erreichbar und Michel hat und einige sehr nützliche Tipps gegeben.  Die Chalets liegen mitten in der wunderschönen Natur und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.  Die Lage war auch für unseren jungen Hund ideal,  weil er sich frei bewegen konnte und keine anderen Gäste störte. Ein grosses Dankeschön an Michel für seine Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit,  wir haben uns sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt.  Er hat uns an der Hauptstrasse abgeholt und das war echt nützlich um ohne Zeitverlust zum Chalet zu finden.  Die Unterkunft ist gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber und wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Ein grosses Dankeschön.

The location of the accommodation is optimal if you want to explore the north and west of the island. Various beautiful beaches are accessible in a few minutes by car, and Michel gave us some very useful tips. The chalets are situated in the beautiful nature, and we felt very comfortable. The location was also ideal for our young dog, as he could move freely without bothering other guests. A big thank you to Michel for his helpfulness and kindness; we felt at home right away. He picked us up at the main road, which was really useful for finding the chalet without any time loss. The accommodation is well equipped and very clean, and we will definitely come back. Als vierköpfige Familie mit Hund haben wir den Aufenthalt bei Michel sehr genossen. Absolut ruhig, jeden Abend mit Blick auf herrliche Sonnenuntergänge. Vom Standort aus kann man viele Sachen unternehmen, es gibt ein sehr schönen Weg zum Strand, zu Fuß ist man circa 50 Minuten unterwegs. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in 5-10 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wir würden die Unterkunft jedem empfehlen, der die Natur liebt, es ruhig, abgeschieden, schön und einfach mag.

As a family of four with a dog, we really enjoyed our stay at Michel's. It was absolutely quiet, and every evening we had views of the beautiful sunsets. From the location, you can do many things, and there is a very nice path to the beach, which takes about 50 minutes on foot. Shopping options are reachable in 5-10 minutes by car. We would recommend the accommodation to anyone who loves nature and prefers it quiet, secluded, beautiful, and simple.

Wir wünschten uns einen ruhigen Ort mit Blick aufs Meer. Die Sonnenuntergänge waren phantastisch vom Häuschen aus zu sehen. Die Gegend bietet sehr viele beeindruckende Naturerlebnisse, seien es die Strände, die Berge, die Dörfer in den Bergen, der Fangofluss. Michel ist ein sehr zuvorkommender, liebevoller Gastgeber, immer erreichbar. Er war auch immer für uns da. Eine Nachricht, ein Telefon genügte, und er hat sofort reagiert. Er hat uns auch viele gute Tipps gegeben. Wir danken dir von Herzen lieber Michel! Unser zwei wöchiger Aufenthalt war vom ersten bis zu letzten Tag wunderschön!

We wished for a quiet place with a view of the sea. The sunsets were fantastic to see from the cottage. The area offers many impressive nature experiences, whether it be the beaches, the mountains, the villages in the mountains, or the Fang River. Michel is a very accommodating, loving host, always reachable. He was always there for us. A message or a phone call was all it took, and he reacted immediately. He also gave us many good tips. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, dear Michel! Our two-week stay was beautiful from the first to the last day!

Es war sehr schön bei Michel, seine Anlage ist gut gelegen und die Häuser sind gut ausgestattet, funktional und ruhig. Michel ist sehr entgegenkommend und hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Die Zufahrt ist etwas staubig, da die Straße nicht befestigt ist, aber trotzdem gut befahrbar. Das ganze Gelände ist mit einem Tor abgesichert. In der Nähe ist eine süsse kleine Stadt mit guten Restaurants und einem sehr schönen Strand.

It was very nice at Michel's, his property is well located, and the houses are well equipped, functional, and quiet. Michel is very accommodating and fulfilled every request we had. The access is a bit dusty, as the road is not paved, but still easily navigable. The whole area is secured with a gate. Nearby, there is a cute little town with good restaurants and a very beautiful beach.
