The house is very pretty and very well located: you feel good there, and there's a small grocery store and a natural swimming pool within walking distance (about 15 minutes, although you have to go back up a steep hill). Arminda is very kind and left us plenty of local products available. The only downside is that the beds are small: only 1.20 m wide, and I think someone taller than 1.75 m would be hanging off the length. So it's better to be small and slim or to be few enough to each take a bed. But otherwise, the impression of the house is that you feel good there, in tranquility, with a magnificent view of the ocean.

The house is situated on a hill on a very quiet side of the island. The views from the front are amazing! We enjoyed our coffee here each morning. The house was clean and the gardens were nice. <br/>We had issues with hot water for the first three days. Finally it was fixed and we had hot water the last two. There are no restaurants nearby except Magma. We tried to get in but they would not seat only three for dinner so that was disappointing. Pico is a quiet island so plan accordingly! There was a man who would stop by multiple times to help with the garden. We had no idea who he was or when he would stop by. It was a little unnerving to have a strange man walking around the house when you were in your pajamas with the windows open to get the fresh breeze.<br/>Arminda was very responsive. She left us cheese, bread and homemade passion fruit jam. We ate it all! It was yummy.
