Location was 10/10 in Funchal. REALLY easy to walk everywhere and had the cutest little restaurants around our spot. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. A short walk (5-7 mins) to the bus stops to get around the island and the airport shuttle bus. The appartement was very clean and big enough for the two of us to sit together to eat and cook. I was disappointed to find out the airbnb was double booked from a whatsapp message from the host for the first night. However we were told that a hotel/taxi would be arranged for us on the first night. When we arrived late at night, the hotel wasn’t paid for and we had to pay an extra 40€ on top of the airbnb fee we paid which was really frustrating. After some discussions over our stay with the host, we were told we would be paid 20€ back due an additional cleaning fee? However we were able to get our money back for the hotel at the end of the week which was reasonable.
