Crete, the largest Greek island, combines steep mountains, deep gorges and long sandy beaches between the Libyan and Aegean seas. Perched villages, Minoan cities and seaside tavernas share the territory. Our houses and apartments let you explore at your own pace.
Hiking, swimming and tasting Crete
Hike down the Samaria Gorge in the White Mountains National Park (May to October), before heading to the turquoise lagoon of Balos or the pink-sand beach of Elafonissi in the southwest. On the heritage side, the Palace of Knossos near Heraklion tells the story of Minoan civilization, complemented by a visit to the archaeological museum.
In Rethymno and Chania, the Venetian and Ottoman old towns unfold along narrow streets and harbors. At the markets, you can pick up olive oil, thyme honey and cheeses. Having your own kitchen makes all the difference: you can cook with local produce and plan each day with family or friends, free from set schedules.
Where to stay
Around Rethymno, Panormos retains its small fishing harbor and tavernas, while Pagkalochori and Roustika, further inland, offer the quiet of villages set among olive groves. Akoumia leads on to the beaches of the south.
In the east, Anatoli and Analipsi open onto the Lasithi region and its mountain landscapes, within easy reach of Sitia and its unspoiled coves. Our studios, apartments and villas suit both active getaways and relaxed vacations, with enough space to reconvene in the evening after the beach.

Frequently asked questions
How many properties do you offer in Crete and what types are they?
We offer 4 rentals in Crete, made up of 2 houses, 2 apartments. They're located mainly around Rethymno, in Panormos, Roustika, and Pagkalochori, as well as to the east near Anatoli and Analipsi. Some accommodate up to 10 people, ideal for a family trip or a getaway with friends.
Which airport should I fly into for our rentals in Crete?
The island has two main international airports, Heraklion (Nikos Kazantzakis) and Chania. For the properties around Rethymno, Heraklion is about an hour's drive away. For the eastern part, near Anatoli and Analipsi, Sitia Airport also serves the Lasithi region.
Should you rent a car in Crete?
Yes, a car is highly recommended. Inland villages like Roustika and Pagkalochori, as well as the beaches in the south, are poorly served by buses. Mountain roads are winding but manageable. A car lets you reach the coves and Minoan sites at your own pace.
What's the best time to visit?
May to October offers good swimming and access to the Samaria Gorge, which is generally open from May to October. July and August are hot and the beaches are very crowded. May, June, and September remain milder for hiking and visiting Knossos or the old Venetian towns.
Which area should I choose based on my trip?
Around Rethymno, Panormos and its harbor suit those who enjoy tavernas and nearby beaches. Roustika and Pagkalochori offer the calm of olive groves. To the east, Anatoli and Analipsi open onto the mountain landscapes of Lasithi and the unspoiled coves near Sitia.
