if you are looking for a local top quality restaurant we would highly recommend Rubaiyat is really excellent, friendly, top quality food, lovely outdoor terrace. The main tourist sites are really accessible by lines 9 and 2 from Ducque de Pastana which is only 10 minutes walk. Line 1 seems to be closed for a few months . For July and August air conditioning would be a big plus or the installation of a good ceiling fan and better floor fan. I have mentioned this . all in all a lovely little studio which is very well equipped. it is only on the first floor and the pool is lovely and easy to get to.

Friendly host and comfortable apartment with nice view over the buildings (6th floor). The best shower pressure I have ever had in an apartment! It was a nice month’s stay. We really liked the local feel of the neighborhood and felt very safe both walking around at night and in the building with concierge staff. To get to the center of Madrid we utilized both a bus just a couple of minutes walk away and metro (traffic can add about 20-25 minutes to the bus and we started using the metro instead for that reason). Host is changing the description to note the new washing machine does not have a drying function. For local spots, very much recommend Quinque bar and Lady Madrid for specialty coffee.
