The Île-de-France is not just Paris: around the capital stretch the forests of Fontainebleau and Rambouillet, the gardens of Versailles and the riverside guinguettes along the Marne. A densely woven region where museums, châteaux and villages are reachable by RER, for a stay that blends the city with green escapes.

Museums, châteaux and forests within RER reach

In Paris, string together the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and the rooftops of Montmartre, then wander the Marais or along the Canal Saint-Martin. Beyond the ring road, the region lends itself to day trips: the Palace of Versailles and its fountains, the château of Vaux-le-Vicomte, the UNESCO-listed medieval town of Provins, or Disneyland Paris at Marne-la-Vallée.

Nature lovers walk among the sandstone blocks of Fontainebleau, popular with climbers, cycle along the banks of the Seine or visit Monet's house at Giverny, on the region's doorstep. An apartment or whole house with a kitchen makes these late returns and pre-departure breakfasts easy.

Where to stay

Paris concentrates our studios and apartments, handy for getting around on foot and by metro. For more space and a measured budget, the near suburbs are well connected: Saint-Denis and its royal basilica, Clichy and Rosny-sous-Bois to the north-east, or Les Pavillons-sous-Bois.

Towards the south and west, Saint-Chéron and Férolles-Attilly offer a quieter setting, close to forests and châteaux, while Pierrelaye serves the Oise valley. Our villas and whole houses suit families and stays with friends who want to alternate city sightseeing with days in the countryside.

Frequently asked questions

How many rentals do you offer in the Île-de-France region?

We offer 6 entire rentals in the Île-de-France region, spread across 5 houses, 1 apartment. You’ll find apartments to explore Paris on foot and by metro, as well as houses and a villa in the near and outer suburbs, offering more space for families or trips with friends.

Are the properties well rated?

Our Île-de-France rentals have an average rating of 4.5 out of 5, calculated from 5 properties rated by travelers. These reviews are based on real stays and cover cleanliness, location, and how accurately the listing matches reality. They help you book with confidence before your trip.

How do you get to the Île-de-France region, and do you need a car?

The region has three airports: Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle, Orly, and Beauvais. Paris is connected by high-speed train (TGV) from all over France. In the capital and near suburbs, the metro and RER are enough. For more rural properties like Amponville or Les Bréviaires, a car remains useful.

What's the best time of year to visit the region?

Spring, from April to June, offers blooming gardens at Versailles and mild weather for day trips. Autumn adds color to the forests of Fontainebleau and Rambouillet. Summer draws crowds to the main landmarks, while Christmas lights up Paris. Book early during these peak periods.

Which area should I choose for my stay?

To visit museums and neighborhoods on foot, choose an apartment within central Paris. Rosny-sous-Bois or Saint-Denis offer more space while staying connected by RER. For forests and châteaux, look at Amponville, Beautheil-Saints, or Les Bréviaires, close to Fontainebleau and Rambouillet.

Is it easy to visit the châteaux and sites around Paris?

Yes. Versailles is reachable by RER C, Provins and its UNESCO-listed medieval town by Transilien train, and Disneyland Paris by RER A to Marne-la-Vallée. Vaux-le-Vicomte and the rocks of Fontainebleau are better reached by car. An entire house with a kitchen makes it easier to come back late after these day trips.
