In Paris, string together the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and the rooftops of Montmartre, then wander the Marais or along the Canal Saint-Martin. Beyond the ring road, the region lends itself to day trips: the Palace of Versailles and its fountains, the château of Vaux-le-Vicomte, the UNESCO-listed medieval town of Provins, or Disneyland Paris at Marne-la-Vallée.
Nature lovers walk among the sandstone blocks of Fontainebleau, popular with climbers, cycle along the banks of the Seine or visit Monet's house at Giverny, on the region's doorstep. An apartment or whole house with a kitchen makes these late returns and pre-departure breakfasts easy.

Paris concentrates our studios and apartments, handy for getting around on foot and by metro. For more space and a measured budget, the near suburbs are well connected: Saint-Denis and its royal basilica, Clichy and Rosny-sous-Bois to the north-east, or Les Pavillons-sous-Bois.
Towards the south and west, Saint-Chéron and Férolles-Attilly offer a quieter setting, close to forests and châteaux, while Pierrelaye serves the Oise valley. Our villas and whole houses suit families and stays with friends who want to alternate city sightseeing with days in the countryside.
