Mauritius brings together turquoise lagoons, volcanic mountains, and cane plantations on a territory you can cross in a day. Between diving, hiking, and Creole cuisine, it suits family stays as well as getaways with friends, in a villa or apartment of your own.
Dive, hike, and taste the island
The Blue Bay lagoon and the marine park of Trou aux Biches offer accessible snorkeling, while Flic en Flac and Belle Mare line up long white-sand beaches. On land, the Black River Gorges National Park unwinds its trails toward the waterfall and the viewpoints over Le Morne Brabant, a UNESCO-listed site. In Chamarel, the seven-colored earth and the waterfall are worth the detour, before a tasting of agricultural rum. The Pamplemousses Botanical Garden (SSR) displays its giant water lilies, and the sacred lake of Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao) remains a major pilgrimage site. Finish with the central market and the Caudan Waterfront in Port-Louis. With your own kitchen, it's easy to cook the fish and fruit bought at the stalls.
Where to unpack your bags
Rivière Noire, on the west coast, appeals to fans of sunsets, kitesurfing, and sea excursions near Le Morne. Rivière du Rempart and Flacq, in the northeast, give access to the beaches of Grand Gaube, Belle Mare, and to Île aux Cerfs. Pamplemousses and Grand Port suit more authentic stays, between gardens and historic sites. In Moka and the Plaines Wilhems, the rolling interior offers coolness and proximity to the town centers. Our villas and apartments let you space out your days at your own pace.

Frequently asked questions
How many rentals do you offer in Mauritius and what types?
We offer 94 rentals spread across the island, all as whole properties. The selection includes 51 apartments, 19 villas, 17 houses. Most properties are located along the coast, in Rivière du Rempart in the northeast and Rivière Noire in the west. Some accommodate large families, with capacity for up to 30 guests.
Are the properties well rated?
Travelers give an average rating of 4.4 out of 5. This average is based on 67 rentals reviewed so far. The number of reviews remains limited, so be sure to read each comment and check the amenities before booking, particularly whether air conditioning or a pool is included.
Do you need to rent a car in Mauritius?
Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport is located in the southeast, near Mahébourg, about an hour from the western beaches. A car is recommended to reach the coves and inland sites. Driving is on the left, a British legacy. Taxis and buses exist, but they poorly serve more isolated properties.
What's the best time to visit?
The southern winter, from May to November, offers dry weather and pleasant temperatures, ideal for hiking in Black River Gorges. Summer, from December to April, is hot and humid, with a risk of cyclones. The west coast stays more sheltered from the wind than the east.
Which area should I choose for my stay?
Rivière Noire, in the west, is great for sunsets, kitesurfing, and boat trips near Le Morne. Rivière du Rempart and Flacq, in the northeast, provide access to Belle Mare and Île aux Cerfs. Pamplemousses and Grand Port offer more authentic stays, with gardens and historic sites.
Can I cook with local produce at the property?
Yes, every rental comes with a fully equipped kitchen. The central market in Port Louis, the stalls in Flacq, and roadside vendors are full of fish, tropical fruit, and Creole spices. For added comfort, 86 properties are air-conditioned, a real plus during the humid southern summer.
